Environmental harm must be minimized, and emission - especially in the automotive industry - must be reduced. Manufacturing research and development must provide low carbon, low waste and energy efficient materials. At the same time, technologies and practices must support reuse, remanufacture and recycling of materials and products and do so at a profit. Learn at IQPC’s International Congress Automotive Green Production from January 30 to February 1, 2012 in Mainz, Germany, how energy efficiency within the new international standard of energy management systems can be increased.

Regarding the alternative energy discussion and the continuing decrease of atomic energy the car manufacturers need to think about new strategies to be more efficient and reduce their energy consumption during production. Therefore, new energy management systems must be adopted and a systematical analysis of energy saving potentials within production itself must be implemented. What is more, infrastructure and design of the manufacturing plant must be reconsidered to assure carbon reduction and energy supply for the future.
